The subfloor area is one of the main places we locate structural damage, especially to the stumps and floor frame. The concrete stumps at this house were in a poor condition due to excessive moisture present in the subsoil over a long period of time. Moisture in the surrounding ground will cause damage to both timber and concrete stumps. In this case the stumps had weakened significantly and were crumbling in my hand!! Check out the photos below.
